Summary:
The Power Plant Safety Coordinator is responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a safe working environment within the power plant facility. 1. Develop and Implement Safety Programs:
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with management to identify potential safety hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- Monitor and review safety programs regularly to ensure their effectiveness.

2. Conduct Inspections and Audits:
- Conduct regular inspections of the power plant facility, equipment, and systems to identify potential safety hazards or non-compliance.
- Prepare detailed reports of findings and recommend corrective actions to address any identified issues.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure timely implementation of corrective measures.

3. Safety Training and Education:
- Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors to promote awareness and understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
- Keep updated on industry best practices and regulations regarding power plant safety.
- Collaborate with HR and training departments to ensure compliance with training requirements and maintain training records.

4. Accident Investigation and Reporting:

- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of accidents and incidents to relevant authorities as required by regulations.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven working experience in power plant safety coordination or a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of power plant operations, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Familiarity with relevant local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and assess safety hazards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train employees and communicate safety recommendations.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to conduct thorough investigations and produce accurate reports.
- Proficient in using computer software and systems to document and track safety-related information.
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., CSP, CIH, OHST) is preferred.
